The razor is too dull to be much good now, but I would like to find a place that can sharpen it so that I can go back to brush & razor shaving. I have never seriously cut myself (more than twice) while shaving with this thing, and never in a manner that was life-threatening. There was a hangover involved.

Jaws was an incidental backdrop for the picture (her fault for wandering in there to see what I was up to). She takes the picture from being mundane into carrying a slightly naughty double-entendre.



This was originally just going to be a picture of me holding a straight razor so that I could lament over the fact that I can't find a place to sharpen them. Then Jaws showed up and begged to be in the picture.

I shot this at 1/45th of a second at an aperture of f/1.8 so that I could blow out the background and highlight the razor. I corrected the colour, compensated the exposure a bit and boosted the sharpness, but for a change I didn't bother with any cropping. Sometimes you just don't need it.
