plonq: (Generic Mood)
I think that it is a testament to the perverseness of my nature that this song cheers me up.  By all rights this song should reduce me to a quivering ball of angst, seeking only to crawl off to some dark corner and slit my wrists with a sharpened trout, but I've never made any claim to normalcy.

On the other hand, a distressing lack of coffee in my system this morning may yet have that effect on me.  [livejournal.com profile] plonq needs coffee.  If you could see my caffeine status-bar in one of those first-person shooters, there would be naught but a sliver of it showing and it would be flashing red.

Word of the day: QFPQMF

Sorry, I have no idea what it means - it's the first word in a cypher on my Mensa page-a-day calendar, and I haven't had time to decode it yet.  It's a straight substitution code, so it shouldn't be too tough to crack.

Random bible quote of the day: "2 Kings 22:09 - And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD."

♥ I love this little program. ♥

There's nothing quite as surreal as pressing a button on the screen and having it spew out a random KJV bible verse out of context.  What's going on in this scene?  Was there blood flowing before, or just after this little vignette?  Is this the gestapo of God forcing socialism on a cruel land owner?  It says that the money from the house was given to those who have "oversight of the house of the LORD," so maybe they're holy bruisers, collecting some back-tithes.  It is meaningless without context.

Gah - yes, I do need coffee.  Filling that need shall become my top priority this morning.  Coffee first, then work.
plonq: (Ack!)
Pizza Pops are probably on an EPA list somewhere because of their toxicity.  I had considered buying them for my work lunches some time back, but I had a look at the box and quickly put them back.

"80% saturated fat by volume?  Bleah!"

Last week they had them on sale for a very good price.

"Mmmm... bargain!  Yum!"

"Er, I mean, bleah!"

I feel like I need to degrease my tongue after each bite.  I can see how these might have appealed to me in my teens, back in the days of self-popping audible acne, but now they get two greasy thumbs down from [livejournal.com profile] plonq.  I shan't be buying these again.
