Sep. 20th, 2005 08:20 amThey pushed down an update to my computer today. The most significant element of the update was the "upgrade" from Office 2000 to Office 2003.
So far it looks like the same thing, only more bloated, and with a slightly bulbous look. I assume that it will also break all of my VBA scripts.
In the hour since the update I've been working to undo some of the damage (such as having all of my personal settings reset).
The most notable change is that my calendar is missing. Gone. Presumably it has taken all of my meeting appointments with it.
I prefer to interpret this to mean that I am now absolved from all current and future meetings <purr>. I guess some good came out of this upgrade!
[Edit: My calender just reappeared. My sense of relief is soured only by equally-palpable disappointment and annoyance.]
