Annoying bug in Firefox
Sep. 28th, 2004 08:31 amThis trick works both at home and at the office. Open this link in a new tab and then close that tab again. I've only tested this with the latest Firefox, with Internet Explorer. The latest IE caught it, but FF did not, nor did the earlier version of IE 6 that we use at work. Hmph.
FF seems to catch it okay if it's the only tab open, but if you open it in a second tab then it springs a pop-up when you close that tab again.

Date: 2004-09-28 08:41 am (UTC)A friend at work is running FF .92, and it doesn't seem to affect that one, but it does it in both 1.0PR here and at home, so I'm thinking it appears to be a bug that got introduced in the latest version of FF.
