Check out these cool Canada Day photos in the Winnipeg community.  There are some decent firework shots in the mix, but the first picture is my favourite of the lot.

Ken Lay took the easy way out.  I haven't seen any details on whether it was self-inflicted, or divine retribution.  In any event, it's a shame sometimes that I don't actually believe in Hell because I'd really like for him to spend some eternity there.

Needs more cowbell.  Here is the world's largest-capacity railcar leaving Duluth for for Alberta.  No idea what this is, but it looks pretty cool.

I managed to get into a Zul'Gurub run on the weekend and scored a cool new wand named Thoughtblighter.  While it's not the ultimate wand in the game, it's got very good stats, and it's definitely one of the coolest-looking.  I'll post a picture of it later, but for now here's the stats.

Thoughtblighter

Huh. Hadn't heard that bit with Ken Lay. You'll pardon me for being skeptical about whether it was actually a heart attack or not.

Cool pics of the Schnabel car. Ah, you have to love rail geeks - they're good at documenting everything. Here's a great page on the particular Schnabel car that you linked to.

The HO kit of this car is only about three feet long with a load.

As for the load:
"In October 1990 two Japanese-built cylinders destined for the BiProvincial Upgrader oil project in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, arrived at the Clure Public Marine Terminal aboard the Dutch vessel Starman Asia."

These are really neat cars.

No, I have not gotten the kit yet.

I think those are hydro-cracker reactors, probably intended for conversion of bitumen (from the Alberta tar sands) into lighter hydrocarbons.
