Traditional Christmas dinner

atara and I have been in a back and forth debate in the weeks leading up to Christmas over what we should do for dinner that day. If we have anything that could be counted as a tradition here, it would be dinner at Winter Garden Chinese Restaurant on Christmas Eve, and leftovers on Christmas Day. Our plan is to dine in this year, but we are at odds over what we should cook.

I am leaning toward a goose, but that's hardly a modern tradition. Feel free to dip into your own culture and tradition in answering this one. What would you consider to be a traditional meal for a modern Christmas?
