Oct. 7th, 2005 07:40 amI'm worried about the foster cats. The mother is now quite sick with what I am worried might be viral pneumonia. So far the kitten has been a normal, healthy, bouncy little guy but
atara said that he was snuffling a bit this morning. That's how it started off with mom, and if it's made her that sick, I shudder to think what it will do to a month-old kitten.
I'm also worried that our cats are going to catch something that the fosters bring home. We've been keeping the other cats isolated from our own - including using hand sanitizer before we leave the room with the fosters - but if they bring home anything that's airborne then our precautions won't do much good. Both of our cats have been vomiting a fair bit lately - though they've also been shedding prodigiously at the same time, which suggests that hairballs are the likely root cause. Unfortunately Belladonna also had a sneezing fit last night. Not good. I'm hoping that she just inhaled a hair.
