... and I'm at work.
We got a call from some guy on his cell phone at the office about an hour ago. It was fuzzy, and it cut out halfway through, but I caught enough key words to know that a couple of important scheduled jobs had not run properly this morning.
While I don't really like going to work on my rest days - and especially not early on a Saturday after I'd had friends over visiting until 2:40 that morning - I decided that it would be best if I made an appearance, since my own discomfort is (only very slightly) less important than having a crew sitting around getting paid holiday wages with no work to do.
This problem would have affected their worklists yesterday as well - I'm surprised that nobody called.
I was listening to CBC on the way down here, and out of the blue they played a song by Status Quo that I had never heard - which isn't much of a stretch since my prior exposure to the band consists of "Pictures of Matchstick Men". I have no idea what this song was called, but I wouldn't mind having it in my music library. All I know is that it was something from their post-psychedelic work. I wish that I'd paid more attention to the lyrics, since that would be a real aid in tracking down the song, but I was so taken by the instrumentals that I barely noticed that there was somebody singing along with it.
