Better late than ... never mind.
Mar. 5th, 2020 11:01 amThe garbage/recycling collectors usually do not come by until mid-afternoon, so you can probably imagine my surprise when I was standing out in the kitchen (sans pants) with a fresh cup of coffee in my hand as I watched them cruise by in the back alley at 08:30.
We do not produce a lot of garbage in a week, so we'll be okay for missing a week. It is still cold enough that the volatiles in our garbage will not begin to stink if I haul it all out to the bin and leave it until next Thursday. I guess I'll have to get back into the habit of taking everything out on Wednesday evening and wheeling it out right after
atara goes to work.
I'm still on track with my "picture a day" project this year. Unlike previous years, I've set myself reminders this time around, and I've got into the habit of (usually) taking a picture of something early in the day so that I am covered if I forget later. Aside from watching the garbage truck roll by, I also saw the neighbour's dog romping about in the fresh snow that fell overnight, and I decided to grab my camera while she was being photogenic.

I don't know her name, and I don't really care to because she's a moderately unpleasant creature - though she has her moments.
Their other dog is just a vile little teeth-baring, growling, snorting yap machine.
