Two more good slugs of scotch straight from the bottle and I think I'll be ready for bed.

We decided to drive straight through from Chicago so that we could get back home a day earlier. We were detained at the border - not long, mind you. I got a lecture about my lack of proper ID, and we had to pay $17 in taxes because we went over our exemption limit.

The real kick in the scrotum was that 100 of the last 200 miles of the trip were on black ice. Freezing rain and snow had made the highways amazingly treacherous. Most people had the sense to stay off the roads, and we only saw a few cars in the ditch. I suppose it could have been worse. Added about 3 hours to our trip in all.

I'm friggin' exhausted, so if y'all will excuse me I'm heading off to bed.

It was really nice to see you guys at MFF, just too bad we couldn't get dinner organized or something on my end so we could actually sit down and talk. Oh well mabye some othe time. Glad you guys made it home safe.
