I was skimming through this article, and was prepared to write it off as more of Orrin Hatch's drive to have his fellow citizens lined up and shot for listening to (all but his) music on their personal MP3 players when this line jumped out at me:
"The bill would also permit people to use technology to skip objectionable content -- like a gory or sexually explicit scene -- in films, a right that consumers already have. However, under the proposed law, skipping any commercials or promotional announcements would be prohibited."
Obey. Consume.
That's not Orwellian at all, is it?
