plonq: (Jolly Mood)
[personal profile] plonq
I've finally managed to find a breakfast bar that strips away all pretence of having any health benefits.  With normal granola bars, I can convince myself that the grains in them have not been entirely stripped of their inherent goodness, but this bar harbours no such pretensions.  I present you with the Kellogg's Froot Loops Cereal & "Milk" Bar (the quotes are mine).

These bars are saturated with such healthy goodness as white flower, sugar, salt, hydrogenated palm oil, and more sugar (come on guys, just because you list it as sugar, glucose, fructose and dextrose doesn't mean that we're stupid.  Those are all sugar in one form or another.)  Yum!  Why does something so bad taste so good?

Oh, and hey!  She probably won't see this, but happy whelpday [livejournal.com profile] robin_andersen.  Don't think of it as another year older, consider it another year refined.

[Why does something so bad taste so good?]

You said it yourself: sugar, glucose, fructose and dextrose.
