After keeping them under wraps for a couple of weeks, we finally wore our Halloween costumes out in public on Friday (and again at another party last night).





The costumes were a bit hit at both parties that we attended. You can read more about it in atara's journal.

Merf. I just got word that the wife of a close friend died unexpectedly. I don't feel like writing any more.

Gah. $500 return to fly out there. He's asked me not to bother. He's going to call in a week or two when he feels more like talking.

We appreciate that you are wanting to fly all the way out here, but my dad is right that you don't have to go to all the effort for us. Any kind thoughts are more then enough and we both thank you.
