Bah humbat!

plonqI brought in my Halloween costume with the intention of dressing up and handing out goodies in the office, but I'm not sure now that it's going to happen. Something has changed here in the last couple of years; it's like somebody hooked up a hose and sucked all of the fun out of our workplace. I did a walk-through of the office this morning and discovered that, aside from one person wearing a pumpkin tie, there is no evidence of the occasion anywhere; no decorations or costumes, nor even any tails, ears, horns or halos. There are no cards or streamers, nor little stand-up cardboard witches. There are no plastic pumpkins, no bowls of treats, no nothing. (Ack! A double-negative.)
As recently as a couple of years ago we used to have a reasonable number of people dress up every year, now there's nothing.
