Monday morning ramblings

I don't know what's wrong with me today, but I'm very cheerful for first thing on a Monday morning.

The new arena is very close to completion.  It will give The Moose a new home in which to suffer terrible, embarrassing losses.  Ah well - they're underachievers, but we like 'em just the same (seeing as we'll never, ever get another real team).

I got one of the new poppy quarters in change today (not quite as large as the one in the picture).  I'm not sure how I feel about them making special "cause du jour" quarters.  I just want some creative input if they decide to do some "breast awareness month" quarters.  The quarter looked okay until I rubbed it experimentally with my thumb and half of the red paint came off.  Did they not test this paint before they decided to mint and release these things?

The new arena looks nice ... are people still going to be able to get through it on the skywalks even when no events are going on? I loved the skywalk system. :)

Yup, the skywalks are part of the arena deal. It will be nice to have them linked up again after having an arena-sized gap in the skywalk for the last couple of years.
