Job 01:03 - His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

What's cool about getting these things out of context is that I'm not sure if this guy had a lot of donkeys, or a harem.

Not that I'm saying that the two are mutually exclusive.

Things were different back then.

I think we can rest assured that if King James had a harem in mind then he would have insisted that his translators use the word arse, as every Englishman should [1], in order to bring clarity to the text. Ass definitely refers to the smaller members of the horse family, or to stupid people[2], so its definitely a large stable, or a remedial school for young girls. That hasn't helped has it? I'll shut up now.

[1] Being a good old Germanic word
[2] Thank the Celts for that meaning
