Sep. 30th, 2004 06:49 amWhen I arrived at the office this morning there was somebody skirling in the front lobby of the building.
"That's not unusual, Plonq," you may say. "I've come to work many times to find kilted Scotsmen playing the pipes in the lobby of my office building."
True. What's unusual is that it's 6:40 in the morning. This guy was doing the whole "Piper At The Gates of Dawn" thing.
I hope he was just warming up, though, or it could be a long day for the security guards.

Date: 2004-09-30 05:21 am (UTC)What I know is this: I posted at 6:48 am local time. Your response came through a few minutes later with a time stamp (here anyway) of 11:52 am. Assuming that's your (or the LJ server) local time, that would put you (or their server) somewhere around Casablanca.
Anyway, regarding the piper... I'm pretty sure that he was just warming up. For the most part he was making a racket, but occasionally he would launch into a snippet of tune, and he was pretty good when he did that.
