Cheap Wine

In our last order with the provincial liquor store, I added a bottle of wine on a whim to fill one of the gaps in our little wine rack. It was a cheap, South African Cabernet Sauvignon that (as an added bonus) was also on sale. I figured it would be hard to lose at that price.

I popped it open late last week, and have been working my way through it for the past few days, finishing it this evening. On a scale from 1 to Drinkable, I'd peg it at a solid "fine wines are wasted on me". Seriously, I've paid far more for wines that I've enjoyed much less than this one.

I placed another delivery order yesterday to replace my depleted scotch supply, and I decided to toss in a couple more bottles of wine to replace this one and fill another of the empty spots in the rack.

To make my selection, I searched for wines and then started adding filters:
- Available for delivery.
- On Sale.
- Red.
- Screw top.
Finally, I sorted by price (cheapest to most expensive) and selected two varieties that interested me.

I want to test the threshold for where it passes from cheap wine to plonk. If these end up being undrinkable slop, at least I am assured that I didn't pay much for them.
