My Daily Dyslexia
Sep. 27th, 2004 11:11 am"I am Dyslexic of Borg. Your ass will be laminated."
I think I mentioned in an earlier post that they are starting up a women's hockey team in our office. Last week they started selling bingo cards to raise money for the team, and today they mailed out the first five numbers drawn. Since I had a few free minutes, I decided to do up a large bingo display on one of our white boards. I wrote the letters across the top, and filled in columns of numbers below. Using a different coloured pen I began circling the numbers that had been called. B12... check. I19... check. O69... check. G46...
Me: WTF? G only goes up to 45. What are these people on?
Co-worker: There's a G46 on my card.
Me: [checks his own card] There's one on my card too. What bizarre variation on bingo are these people running?
I looked back and forth between one of the bingo cards and the white board a couple of times, trying to figure out what kind of numbering scheme they were using when I noticed that at the top of the columns of numbers, in bold block letters I'd written, "B I G N O".
D'oh!
