I have about a dozen spare Gmail invites available to anyone who is interested.

Well, not all dozen to the same person, but one to each of the first dozen who ask.

At one time there was geeky prestige of having one of the coveted Gmail IDs. Now that they have become fairly commonplace, the appeal is the large size allotment, and the large(ish) attachments that you can send via Gmail.

There is something nice about having a stable email address as well. Think of Gmail as Hotmail on steroids.
