I witnessed my first glomp at an anime con yesterday.  We had just finished snapping this picture of Wolfstarr when a teenage anime fangirl came squeeing at full speed out of the corridor to the left and did a flying leap-hug onto the wolf's back.  Fortunately there's a pretty solid furry under all that fur, and he managed to absorb the impact of her 80-pound frame without flying headfirst into some chairs.  It might have been really cute if it hadn't been so friggin' dangerous.

I'm rather surprised that it went down like that -- usually teenagers don't think such behavior is "cool" and will avoid doing such things at almost any cost.

Was she skinny and have waist-length brown hair? I have a friend named Emily who is fearlessly psycho like that, and is definitely a fangirl... sounds like something she'd do.
