This is why plonq makes his own coffee at home before heading in and avoids the stuff at work. There's only two pots laid out in there today, but I've seen people set out a week's worth at a time. Nothing makes for tasty coffee like laying it out in a drawer to oxidise and turn bitter before it ever sees the pot.



I can't believe I have made it into December without missing any daily pictures. Now if I can just crank up the quality again so that I can end the year on a high note...

I don't like coffee, but even I know not to do that to the coffee grounds. Who started up that screwed up habit? Someone who wanted the coffee pot to go away maybe?

I don't know who's responsible for the ones in this picture, but the guy who started the practice is one of those people who wouldn't know good coffee from bad, but is a bit of a control freak, and is borderline OCD concerning how many scoops are supposed to go into each filter. Everybody else makes the coffee wrong, so he started pre-measuring it so that it would get made right even if he wasn't around to watch.

What an ass. If he is that dysfunctional, then he needs to be treated by a P-sychiatrist. Having been around some OCD folks, it is not something that gets better without treatment. He needs stronger drugs than stale caffiene.

You need to push back against his unreasonable demands. Set the limits and when he crosses them, get vocal right back at him. Unless he is the boss, then you file a grievence with the union about coffee abuse.
