Way back in the day it was difficult to find games that actually worked on my IBM PCjr (yes, I was one of those people). My Mom was doing Christmas Shopping at Radio Shack and the fellow recommended that she get me Rogue for Christmas.
Being a fan of graphical adventures like King's Quest, I was disappointed when I popped the game in and all I saw was a fancy splash screen and then a bunch of keyboard characters.
It didn't take long until it became an obsession. Just one more hallway... just one more stair case... just one more time of slowly starving to death.
