atara visited with an old school friend. I was going to come along for that, but her friend has three babies. Hiking sounded like more fun.
The butterfly was initially closer to the statue when I approached for a shot, but it spooked and flew around aimlessly for a few seconds before landing where it did. I was hoping to get it closer to the head, but I was just happy to get it in the shot. I broke from my usual ISO 100 setting, and went with 200 for this shot. I removed the UV filter and polariser to give me a bit more light, and shot this one at 170mm and 1/60th of a second with an aperture of f/5.6
