Year In Pictures: 2010/04/09
Apr. 9th, 2010 11:33 pmThis clock is a souvenir from my first, last and only trip to Graceland. I didn't bother with the paid tour, I simply bought a clock.
A crazy Elvis fan assured me that this clock would break as soon as I got it home. "They always do." It wasn't meant as a jinx, more as a rueful observation. Even after all these years, his hips still swing and he keeps reasonably good time - or he would if head batteries.

I shot this one with a flash, brightened it up a bit, and cropped slightly. Nothing fancy. I didn't notice the tassle when I was taking the picture - not sure where that came from.

Date: 2010-04-11 01:40 pm (UTC)Unfortunately I've since fallen out of touch with most of the people I went to visit on that trip.
Edit: My bad, I forgot that we hit Milwaukee and Chicago. We actually logged just over 5,500 miles on that trip (8,900KM).
