Year In Pictures: 2010/03/09
Mar. 9th, 2010 11:07 pmLentils lentils lentils!
A few years ago lentils were one of those things that I was dimly aware of in the bulk bins at food stores.
Now they form a reasonable part of my diet.

While it's nice to try for an artistic masterpiece every day, I want this "year in pictures" project to also capture things that are a part of my life.
I poured some lentils from their storage container into another container to get this shot. I set the shutter to 1/200th of a second, the aperture to f/11.0 and used a flash with the diffuser. I boosted the exposure a bit, boosted the shadows, sharpened it a fair bit and then cropped it for the artistic asymmetry.
