The reason I asked is that a few months back, my partner read something about unfiltered coffee causing high cholesterol levels in some people. I don't remember the exact article I read. But there's a few of them out there saying the same thing now.
I still make my coffee in a french press everyday. But I run it through a cone paper filter before drinking it. As long as I'm starting out with good beans, it still tastes just fine.
My cholesterol (the "bad" one) was high before. But now it's in the normal range.
