This little metal holder has been sitting the kitchen cupboard for years; I think it was in with the stuff that I got from Grandpa's place after he died.

I've always had a vague idea what it was for, or at least suspected that it was for something tea-related. This evening I brushed it with my arm as I was reaching past it for a package of herbal tea that I don't remember buying (I think a room-mate may have left it when he moved out about ten years back). Suddenly I figured out what it was for.



I learn something new every day.
