Year In Pictures: 2010/01/29

I was torn over what to use for today's picture. I braved the cold and took a couple shots of the moon, since it is on its closest approach of the year this evening. On the other hand, earlier this evening I snapped a picture of the dragon sconce out in the hall. I wasn't really serious about the sconce picture, but neither was I happy with the moon picture.

Then I thought, "Hm. Maybe I could combine them..."



I feel a little guilty about doing so much photo manipulation, but I have long since turned in my purist card when it comes to digital photography, so I'm sure I will get over it.

I think it's a little too subtle. I think the moonball needs to radiate a bit of light.
