Green Day

The Green Day show was very good, but I think their last one was better. Billy Joe Armstrong is getting way too much injto that whole arena rock thing, where he employs cheap tactics to get a rise out of the crowd; playing one side of the arena against the other in a cheering match, or singing "Daaaay-O" and letting the audience sing counter-point. Ultimately though, he resorted to shouting out "Winnipeg!" at random points during the show. He did it frequently enough that pierrekrahn and I were both lamenting at the end that we hadn't thought to keep count.

By my estimate it was at least 40 times, but it could well have been double that.

Anyway, I am deaf and tired. I'll write more here about the concert if I have some spare time at work tomorrow.
