For the first time in all the years since I have been keeping this LJ, I finally switched to a new theme - including new mood icons. When I mentioned to atara that I was thinking about changing my LJ theme, her first question was, "to something other than black?"

Sorry love, it's black again - but it's a much cleaner lay out now.

The theme I have stuck with for years was the least bad of the options available to free accounts when I first created this one. I've been meaning to change it ever since I first switched to a paid account. Let nobody ever accuse me of moving too quickly.

Yes, these are by Tani Da Real. I've seen one or two other people using these icons in their LJs, and yesterday I finally tracked down the source.

I think Pierre's layout is probably the worst I've ever seen, with the broken borders and 90s colouring.
I'd never really noticed yours.

Hehe I never notice your theme because I have it all set to view in my style only. Problem is the Tani mood icons are anti-alised to black so look rubbish on my pale background >.

He has another set of the same avatars which are anti-aliased for a white background, but they look very bad against my black themed background.

That's one of the pitfalls you run into with gif transparencies. >.>
