Musings during the break
Jun. 13th, 2008 02:51 pmI finished up my project a little early, so there is a bit of a lull in training while the others catch up.
A couple more things that I think I forgot to bitch about with this motel where I am staying:
- The plumbing in the bathtub leaks. There is a steady stream of trickling out of the wall just below the bathtub faucet.
- The outside window in the shower won't open - I assume it is painted shut. On the other hand, it is not pained shut enough to prevent noise and cold outside air from leaking in around it.
- Last night as I was coming back from dinner I met the motorcycle gang who were checking in for the night (or for a few hours - I didn't chat with them long enough to glean that level of details).
- The bible in the drawer was not big or heavy enough for me to use it to beat my neighbour to death.
For the past two days, I have been sitting in a classroom with the blinds closed. I finally opened the blinds this afternoon (now that the rain has temporarily stopped) to see what I had been missing. The window overlooks a back alley, where there is a large industrial dumpster full of old toilets.
I guess I hadn't been missing much.
