I saw a striking picture earlier today of water splashing into a pool and I thought, "Hey, I could do that." I set up a bowl out in the kitchen and started snapping pictures of water dripping into it. The results were - well, what you see below. The lesson from this experiment is that any yutz like me can pick up a camera and take pictures of water splashing into a bowl, but it takes somebody with an eye for composition and lighting to actually make it look good.
These pictures are passingly interesting from a "moment frozen in time" perspective, but not especially good IMO.
