Musical quiz meme

mwalimu posted one of these yesterday, and since originality isn't one of my strong suits, I decided to post one of my own this morning. I fired up WinAmp on shuffle last night and pulled off 20 songs as they came up -- rather, I took 20 songs out of the first 60 or so. I skipped over most of the more obscure industrual/goth/metal/alternative; my listening habits aren't quite as mainstream as they may seem from the list below.

Most of these received a reasonable amount of radio play time, and for the most part I tried to select lyrics that didn't immediately give away the song, but also were not so out-of-context as to make it impossible. I would not be surprised if the first person to answer here gets more than half of them right, but I'll be very surprised if folks can identify all of them, as I allowed a couple of fairly obscure ones into the mix.

Man, I suck at these. 'Course after I googled them I found that I hadn't heard of half of them so I don't feel quite so bad. Anyway, the ones I did know (prior to googling):

(Go fig that I can pick up the "classic rock" ones, even if I'm not a huge fan of the music. I guess that's what happens after 20-30 years of repetition.)
