I forget which is a shared connection -- DSL or Cable? Anyway sometimes it feels like even with one computer connected -- the internet is always busy and slow.

In this case it's our LAN connection at work. We are allegedly connected to the main office via fiber, but I could almost drive out there, load the information I need onto floppies and return again in the time it's taking for our network to respond. Even the shares in our local office are dreadfully slow this morning.
