Pictures of Jaws

plonqLike the title says, here are three pictures (behind a cut) of Jaws. I spied her being very photogenic on the back of the love seat earlier today, so I snagged the camera and used the opportunity to play with a few of its settings (on the camera, not the cat).
I shot this one on automatic shutter and aperture, with modest flash fill to compensate for the harsh, directional sunlight that was illuminating the scene. Her expression says -- well, actually it doesn't say anything. The stream of sunlight has apparently rendered this poor cat incapable of conscious thought.
Spot metering, and no flash fill this time. In this case it achieved the effect that I wanted, but it also illustrates why I used a flash fill in the other pictures.
I was going to do some colour correction on this one, but this is actually very close to true. The late afternoon sunlight lent a somewhat yellow tinge to her fur that was not entirely eradicated by the flash.
