A couple of the larger blogs have picked up on this now, so it may pick up a bit of steam. The NHL is allowing fans to vote in players via the internet for the All-Star game in January. Where the fun begins is that you can vote more than once, and you can do a single write-in ballot for somebody in each division.
A fan in Buffalo has decided to have bit of fun with the process by casting write-in ballots for Rory Fitzpatrick - an obscure 4th line defenseman on the Vancouver Canucks. He's got instructions here on how to do it. While I am not normally one to mess with the sanctity of the game, I don't really give the All-Star Game a lot of credibility, so I am having some fun with this.
The last I heard, Rory was #2 in overall voting.
