I managed to catch the South Park World of Warcraft episode on Google video this morning.  It was very funny, and frighteningly true-to-life.  Even though the jokes in the episode are all at the expense of people who play WoW, I think that conversely, people who actually play the game would find them funnier because of that.

Speaking of having no life, I couldn't help noticing that one of the "low-level" characters who got slaughtered in the Arathi Highlands early in the episode was wearing full (minus the headpiece) Vestments of the Devout.  Since the minimum level to get even one piece of that (the belt) is 52, he clearly is not a "low-level" character.

...

It's pretty sad when you recognize the armour set that somebody is wearing in a throw-away scene.  I almost feel like one of those dreadful fans that we often mock at Star Trek conventions; the one who will raise his hand and say, "Mister Nemoy, in season two, episode eleven, scene fourteen you are seen to be holding your phaser in your left hand, but in the next scene you are clearly holding it in your right hand.  My friend here thinks that this was purposefully done to visually illustrate the conflicting nature of Mister Spock's dual genetic heritage.  Although I respectfully disagree with my friend's interpretation, I would welcome your comments on the matter."

This nice wand that I got from Razuvious in Naxx last night has me seriously considering a re-spec for the +25% on wands.  I don't use wands much in a raid, but it would be a nice little buff when I'm soloing.  We'll see.  My spec is working very well right now, so I'm going to stay the course in the short term.

Season two, episode eleven ("Friday's Child") hardly had any phasers in it at all!

My first geek-out comment while watching the episode: "No way, humans can't be hunters!! WTF??" At which point I was able to suspend disbelief and enjoy the rest of the episode. ;)

Don't even get me into the boar-killing thing... =9.9=
