Apparently Pluto is no longer a planet.

As far as I'm concerned, it's still a planet.  Pluto was a planet before most of those nitwits were born, and even if it doesn't fit their new, more anal definition of what constitutes a planet, it should have had its status grandfathered.

Well, that and they managed to sneak the vote through in a rather underhanded way IMO.

Scientists can be petty too.  Who'd have thunk it?

Sad little Pluto

And think about how much this will cost to reprint/reorder text books, charts, etc...

PS. Wikipedia's Pluto page has already been updated. Cool!

I never really liked Pluto anyway. :D But people will still think of it as a planet no matter what the scientists say.

Special places like those little islands owned by France are easier to put to memory. :P
