I cooked up a big pot of chlli today from a recipe that I found on-line. It looked and smelled really good, but it was a little on the mild side so I decided to cut in some fresh peppers that
fetlock gave me. As I was cutting up the first Habanero I sampled a bit of it, and it seemed to be fairly tame, so I cut up the other two and added them as well.
It seems that the evil oils in the Habaneros are time-released, because about 40 minutes later I noticed a burning sensation under my fingernails. Boy howdy do they burn!
On the other hand, the chilli was really really good.
atara and
pierrekrahn both complained that it was a little hot for their liking, but I quite enjoyed it - though I may have damaged myself. I'm still sweating profusely.
I saved some for you
fetlock.
