atara and I picked up Arkham Horror last weekend, and this past Saturday we managed to rope

dronon into a game of it. Naturally we had not done any preparation work prior to removing the shrink wrap from the game, so it was very slow going for the first couple of turns.

We decided sometime around 2:00 Sunday morning that the game was probably going to drag on a bit, so we agreed to simply summon the elder god and take him (it?) on in final combat - though to be fair, we were well on our way to having all of the gate points sealed by that point. We gave him a pretty good run, but in the end we all got devoured.

The sign stayed up. I have it on hearsay that the CEO was in town, but I saw no evidence of his presence.
