One headstrong moment...

In everyone's career, there is often a defining moment.  It would be a shame if this becomes the lasting memory of Zidane.

On the other hand, I seem to recall that Mario Lemieux took a stupid penalty at a critical time in an important game and likely cost his team the cup, but we don't remember him for that.  We fondly remember him as the whiny prima donna that he was.

Do you mean the whiny prima donna who played a game the very day he got his last chemo for lymphoma or the one who came back after major back surgery? Maybe you mean the one who bailed out the Penguins by buying them when the owners couldn't afford to pay him what they owed.
