I suppose I would remiss in letting today pass without commenting on the date.  As we all know, it's 2006/05/24 on the Julian calendar (the one that was around in Biblical times) and we all know what those numbers represent (shudder).

Prior to this series, some rather vocal Oilers fans in a few forums I follow were being very defensive over the mere suggestion that Roloson was carrying them in these playoffs -- in many cases it's these selfsame fans who are crying the loudest over his injury.

Based on last night's performance, the loss of Roloson has apparently caused them to stop shooting the puck. It's not like I've been cheering for this team, but I'd have a lot more respect for them if they rose to the occasion, rather than folding like paper dolls after the injury.
