Although we have no money riding on the outcome, we all picked our favourites for this next round of the NHL playoffs.

As usual, I put the kiss of death on four perfectly good franchises by picking them to win their respective series.  All four of them lost over the weekend - one of them twice.

I should have listened to the wisdom of Maggie the Macaque (TSN's playoff-prediction monkey).  She's not batting 100% on this series,  but she's way ahead of me.

I would be very surprised if anyone predicted that all of the top 4 teams in the West would be gone in the first.
