plonq: (Whatever)
I'm sure that I would think this was humourous if it was happening to somebody else, but even with my best zen-like effort I am having trouble finding much to laugh about.

I'm subscribed to a "fare watcher" service with one of the online travel booking agencies.  They email me every time the fares drop on one of the routes that I'm watching, and this morning I got a note telling me that the return fare from Winnipeg to Vancouver had dropped by $100.

Savingsesss my preciousssss!

Meh.  That's the difference of $950 versus $1150, but that's $200 that I wouldn't be dropping into the airline's pockets.  I selected a departure date of June 30th and clicked on "Next" to get a list of return dates offered at that rate.

And here's what I got. )

I'm sure that I would not be remiss in saying, "What the smeg?!"  We'd have to readjust our vacation plans a bit, but we'd be saving almost $200, right?

Bleah.  We hatesesss the airlinesesss my preciousssss.!

[Edit: Just to be clear from this picture, the return fare is only offered for the same day that we'd be flying out, thus if we simply stayed on the plane...]
