A barely coherent co-worker called me a few minutes ago to inform me that he wasn't coming in today, and he would be taking the rest of the week off as vacation time.

I'm gettin' tired of this shit.  When people come in here asking for him, I feel like an idiot when I tell them that he's "cashing in some vacation time this week" when everyone knows that he's on another bender.

I think she would have wanted it this way.  If you think about it, she's just swapping her bulimia for anorexia.
