Back to the roots

While I'm not normally much of a traditionalist, I am all in favour of getting back to the true roots of Christmas.

Let's cut all this religious crap out of it that the church added and get back to celebrating it the old-fashioned way.

Second time lucky

One of my paradigms changed tonight. Jellyfish has always been right at the top of my list of most disgusting foods I've ever tried. The last time I had it, it was a szechuan style which I could best describe as "crunchy, chewy vinegar". That was about 20 years ago, so I figured I was due to give it another chance.

I tried it again tonight at a Japanese restaurant and it was really really good. =9 I daresay it's one of the better dishes I've tried in recent memory - definitely worthy of a repeat.
