Roasted Pig & Stuff
Jul. 4th, 2004 09:22 pmWe went to a pig roast last night. It's the first time I've ever been treated to whole pig on a barbeque, and I hope it's not the last. What a wonderful tasting animal. =9

atara and I are both feeling mediocre today, so it's possible we might have overdone it (since she was driving, I drank enough for both of us, so it's no surprise that I might be feeling subdued today). Before the pig roast we stopped at Value Village to pick up some ugly Hawaiian shirts, and while we were there we both bought some more dress shirts and pants for work. I know people who would rather be found dead in a ditch than be caught wearing something they'd bought at Value Village. Well, let them pay full retail for their shirt and then I'll buy it in near-new condition for $3.99 when they're done with it. I'm not proud. I've got better things to spend money on than work clothes.
Speaking of spending money on things... we went out to see Fahrenheit 911 today. It was pretty much everything I'd expected to see - no surprises or things that I hadn't read previously on-line. It was all presented with Moore's usual sardonnic delivery and, while not terribly informative in our case, still fairly entertaining. I can see why they liked it so much at Cannes.
After the movie was out we went back to Value Village again (a different locartion this time) and picked up some more dress shirts and pants. I could still use some more pants (they didn't have much in my awkward size) but I should be good for shirts for awhile if I don't put on any more weight for the next bit.
