Jan. 26th, 2004 11:49 amGah! I have concluded that I am definitely not cut out for tech support. Try and imagine the frustration of explaining to somebody how to wire up four IDE devices on his system when he's one step removed from thinking that electricity is a form of Voodoo. There's 35 minutes of my day shot.

Addendum: Argh! Now he just phoned me again for further clarification - though this time it seems that some of what I drew for him on the white board actually sunk in. I guess he'd been pondering over his little wiring diagram and it suddenly occurred to him that by wiring it up the way I suggested he'd be able to add more devices. I'm... impressed.
