The silly part of it is that most of the companies that are being hurt by these tariffs are US-owned companies anyway.

The other people being hurt are home buyers who are forced to pay artificially-inflated prices for their materials.

Well.. not an easy or short thing to explain :P
But in general they like exporting with ease and make importing complicated, either with taxes, restrictions, or just making things complicated for people not to be able to figure out how to export at all.
Meanwhile they bitch and threat whenever anything here isnt to their liking.

The NAFTA basically means the US can sell their goods however they want, but not the other way around; and it seems thats for Mexico and Canada
